Our position on rights
Sox News records the creator, the licence, the licence URL and the rights status of every image it publishes, and it credits the source. AI assisted original artwork is identified as such. If you believe we have used your work without a licence, tell us and we will investigate promptly.
Sending a notice

A notice should include, in writing:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The URL on soxnews.net where the material appears, precise enough for us to locate it.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and that under penalty of perjury you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
An incomplete notice may delay our response. A notice submitted in bad faith may expose the sender to liability for costs and damages.
What we do on receipt
- We acknowledge the notice.
- We assess the claim and the licence record for the material.
- Where the claim is well founded, we remove or replace the material expeditiously and record the change.
- Where we hold a licence or the use is lawful, we explain the basis and provide the licence record.
- We notify the contributor whose material is affected.
Counter notice
If your material was removed and you believe the removal was mistaken, send a counter notice containing identification of the removed material and its former location, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States federal court, and your signature.
Repeat infringement
Sox News terminates the contributor relationship of anyone who repeatedly supplies infringing material.
Our own copyright
Sox News content is protected too. Requests to republish Sox News material, and reports of unauthorised republication, use the same contact route.
