Two Killed, 35 Injured in Georgia Homecoming Shooting

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said a shooting at a homecoming block party in Vienna left two people dead and 35 injured.

Two people were killed and 35 injured in a shooting at a neighborhood block party in Vienna, Georgia, early Sunday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said. The agency identified the men killed as Ja’Quavion Aderious Jackson, 21, and Macaleb Malik Jackson, 23. Injuries ranged from stable to critical.

The Associated Press reported that more than 1,000 people had gathered and that gunfire erupted in at least two locations. As of its Monday morning report, authorities had not named a suspect or given a motive. The GBI said the investigation was active and ongoing.
